Inside the shop

A counter, a parts wall, and a floor full of machines.

Most of what we do happens in person. You bring the machine in, or you come look at one before you buy it.

The service counter inside Atomic Cleaning Systems

01

The counter

Tell us what you are cleaning, how dirty it gets and how often you will run the machine. That is enough for us to point you at the right PSI and GPM instead of the most expensive unit on the floor.

02

The parts wall

A substantial parts inventory sits behind the counter, and our manufacturer relationships cover what is not on the shelf. It is the reason a repair here usually takes days rather than weeks.

03

The showroom floor

Hot water and cold water, electric, gas and natural gas, portable and stationary. Most of the inventory is ETL certified, and our technicians are Honda Master Tech certified.

04

The rental line

Skid units, trailers, hot water heaters, sweepers and scrubbers, out by the day or the week. Hot water rentals go out with a gun, a wand and a fifty foot hose.

Before you spend anything

Rent it or buy it, and how much machine is enough.

Rent or buy

A one off job or a seasonal push is a rental. Regular use through the year and the arithmetic flips, usually faster than people expect. We will tell you which side of that line you are on even when the answer is the cheaper one for you.

How much pressure

Light residential work sits around fifteen hundred to two thousand PSI. Heavy commercial work runs three to four thousand and up. Pressure is only half of it though, because the flow rate is what actually carries the dirt away.

On the bench

You get an estimate and a ceiling before a bolt comes off.

  1. 01

    Bring it in or call

Drop the machine at the counter, or call and describe what it is doing. A fair amount gets solved on the phone without you driving anywhere.

  2. 02

    We look at it properly

Factory trained technicians go through it and find what is actually wrong, rather than replacing the first part that looks suspicious.

  3. 03

    Estimate, limit, time frame

You hear what it needs, what it will cost, a price limit you set, and when you can expect it back. If it is not worth fixing we will say so.

  4. 04

    Back to work

Most parts are in stock. Contractors get pushed up the queue because a machine sitting on our bench is a crew standing still.

I have been dealing with Eric and Atomic Cleaning Systems now for almost 20 years. They have always been very helpful, with parts when I need them, or if it is a service call and recommendations regarding our equipment. I look forward to another 20 years.

Dropped off a generator to be repaired. Very friendly... Professional atmosphere. I received a call and was told it was a minor problem. The charges were very fair. I was expecting a MAJOR repair bill, and was delighted at there honesty... I believe this place just earned my trust and any and all my future business.

Straight answers

Questions we get at the counter.

Since 1957. The business opened as Atomic Steam Company selling and servicing steam cleaners, and became Atomic Cleaning Systems as the industry moved from steam to high pressure water. Eric and Robert Thompson bought it in March 2000 and the Thompson family still runs it.

If it is a one time or seasonal project, rent. If you will use the machine regularly through the year, buying usually makes more financial sense. Tell us what you are cleaning and how often and we will give you a straight answer either way.

Yes. Our technicians service most major brands regardless of where the machine came from. The brands we service is a much longer list than the brands we sell, and it includes Hotsy, Karcher, Mi T-M, Alkota, Hydro Tek, Cuda, Shark and around two dozen more.

That is most of what the counter does. We ask what surfaces you are cleaning, how dirty they get and how often you will run the machine, then match the PSI and GPM to it. Light residential work sits around 1,500 to 2,000 PSI; heavy commercial work runs 3,000 to 4,000 PSI and up.

We carry a substantial parts inventory and our manufacturer relationships let us source what we do not stock quickly. Most parts for used equipment we sell are on the shelf.

Yes. We work with customers on financing solutions for equipment purchases. Ask at the counter and we will walk you through the options.

Scheduled repair work is business hours only, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00. If something is urgent we will take a call and try to talk you through troubleshooting it.

Automotive, manufacturing, construction, property management and municipal services, plus contractors who cannot afford downtime. We also sell to serious homeowners who want equipment that will last.

Tell us what you are cleaning.

Sales, rental or repair, it is the same phone number and the same people. Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm, and the counter has heard your problem before.
